My name is Maja Pogačnik, I grew up in a small village under the Alps – Gorje. Now, I’m living and working in Bled, place full of history and natural heritage, with a blue lake and green hills and mountains around it.

Since I was a little girl, I smelled almost everything that came into my reach. You know how little kids carry everything into their mouth – well, I carried everything close to my nose. I had to smell it. My favorite waste of time was also playing with water, sand and everything I could find in my surroundings. I was creating secret potions and soups from water, sand, leaves lying beneath the trees, flowers, tree moss, herbs from my mother’s garden. It looked awful, but I liked the smell. Sometimes I even rubbed it on myself, pretending this is a super cream, I created.
